I am just back from London after a lovely late afternoon and early evening with emmavescence. I had a great time, but there is some frustration as she's found herself interested in someone else (who looks to be monogamous), so we're being platonic for now.

Firstly I am feeling better. In fact even by Monday evening, with barely a day on the anti-biotics, I was feeling a little better, less inflammation, if still a fairly swollen tonsil. Over the last few days it's cleared up completely, but I'm being a good patient and finishing the full course of anti-biotics. Last pair to be taken at 22h tonight ( Read more... )

Yeah, the tonsil is no better today. I have an alarm set for 0745 tomorrow to phone the doctors for an appointment.

The 'damn it' is because I'm also feeling lonely, and of course have no prospect of being social until next Saturday at least, and even that might have to be cancelled depending on what happens about the tonsil :/.

My stomach is fine, really it is. No gurgles, no pain, no complaints at all.

However it now seems I can't keep anything down because my damned tonsil is triggering my gag reflex far too easily. I'd gone to bed, including brushing my teeth and rinsing out as well as I could with the inability to gargle. I also took another throat lozenge to try ( Read more... )

Down to 37.6C/99.7F, so looks like it's going away, phew. My right tonsil is still incredibly swollen though.

A little anyway. My temperature is down from 39C/102F to 38.3C/101F this morning.

Ok, I definitely seem to have come down with something. My tonsils seem swollen up and I'm coughing. My head feels all stuffy (but not much snot yet). Also last night I either got too engrossed in playing WoW (who? me?) and was simply freezing my ass off when I got into bed, or there was something flu-like going on.
