Ok, so despite sleeping in until about 14h today (oops), I got up, showered, and went out to the shop. I am most grateful it changed from 10h-16h on a Sunday to 06h-24h every day, as I only left the flat just after 16h

I did wake up briefly around 10am when my alarm went off, having gone to bed before 1am last night. However I then dozed on until 1pm. I guess my body wanted the rest. I am so very glad that I managed to kick the insomnia prior to going in for the operation. Laying awake half the night tossing and turning would not have been fun

I'm still doing fine. I am in just enough pain to have decided to take 2 painkillers every 4 hours. I originally took just the one this morning with breakfast, and then held out until 14h before deciding I really did need to take 2. I took another two with dinner around 18h and will be taking another 2 in half hour or so

Right, all settled in back at home. I've eaten, drunk plenty of OJ and water and I'm actually not in that much pain.
