So, I attended the second group therapy session yesterday. This was focused on the whole "anxious thoughts lead to physical symptoms, make you feel worse, leading to more anxious thoughts, repeat" cycle. There was also mention of relaxation techniques (we have some handouts).

This sounds so very familiar from the SHARE sessions I went to back in 2004 and thus doesn't inspire a great deal of confidence in these sessions actually helping me. Sure they're lead by 'a nurse', but I'm not sure exactly what her qualifications are. It almost feels like I should interview such people before agreeing to take part in things....

Still, I got there and back without incident. It meant another day of walking about 10 miles in total as I went the train route this time. I also stopped off at the Farnborough Sainsbury's to actually get my hands on some Schwartz "Mediterranean Roasted Vegetables" sachets, as I'd forgotten to put them on my order last time I had stuff delivered and failed to find them anywhere in Fleet.

This means my left hip got very achy by the time I got home again. I really need to get more exercise for a month or so, and if that doesn't lead to the problem going away consult my GP. One of my fears for the future is somehow losing my personal mobility. I'd hate not being able to just walk anywhere (once I got past anxiety issues).

I might just take the bus next week as it will involve less walking, but then I could use the exercise....
