Sleep gooooooooooooood
I did wake up briefly around 10am when my alarm went off, having gone to bed before 1am last night. However I then dozed on until 1pm. I guess my body wanted the rest. I am so very glad that I managed to kick the insomnia prior to going in for the operation. Laying awake half the night tossing and turning would not have been fun!
Down to 1 painkiller/4 hours now, and tomorrow I may even stretch that to every 6 hours. I didn't change the bandage today but did take the strips off very carefully to be sure they weren't allowing any dried blood/whatever to accumulate. The top/left (my view) one was over a little weeping but nothing to worry about. So I replaced the strips with surgical tape of my own and used some of the same to put the (clean) bandage back in place. I'll change it for the last hospital-supplied bandage tomorrow. After that I have some Melonin pads of my own I can use together with the tape.
I also had to wash dishes today, which went OK given I had a break half way through. That was mostly because of my lower back aching. Normally I'd line right up against the counter to take some strain off my back, but if I do that now I'm leaning right on that abdominal wound, so no can do.
Given how late it was by then I decided to skip the shop today. We'll see what time I get up tomorrow.
Having caught up on downloaded TV, email, web, news etc... I'm now mostly bored :/.
