Nuke 'em from orbit
So, I actually gave up trying to sleep some more at around 07:33 this morning. This being after trying to get to sleep around 02:30, failing miserably, and thus ending up reading, and even having a sandwich, before going to sleep sometime not long before 04:00.
Anyway, awake early, started phoning the doctors a couple of minutes before 08:00, and hit engaged for 3 or 4 minutes. Got an appointment for 08:40, which I've been to. I was offered the option of toughing it out with paracetamol and the like... or a course of anti-biotics. Given I'm sick of this already I went for the latter option. So now I have 2x 250mg of Penicillin to take, every 4 hours, 4 times a day, for 5 days.
The good news is the doctor is sure there were no nasty white pustules, so it's not full blown tonsilitis. So cross fingers this will be all cleared up by the weekend. In fact she thought it would clear up over the next 48 hours.
