Day 8: I'm happy to see my dad playing with my almost 10 month old baby niece (The Cheek Monster herself.) He's her little bitch and they're adorable together and who he is when he plays with her is what I want to remember about my father and not the... grownup version. I went for a little sleepover and cooked for my best friend from high school. Yes, I COOKED! I actually enjoy cooking Indian food and other types of recepies I only make once every three months. It's the regular meat-and-potatoes type things that I don't do.

We baptized The Cheek Monster last weekend so I got to play with her and be all baby!crazy for 24 hours. She lurvs her auntie and all she wanted to do at 1 am was play with me and giggle and nibble on her feet, her newfound hobby. She might also become quite the blues singer:
