Need to try to get enough funds put aside to buy some video software and an interface to get video into the computer for the few recordings made of recording sessions by my old "Tape and Record Show Enterprises" to get those digitized, now that I have all the old audio cassettes digitized. I was passing by the living room just now and noticed the sound from the TV coming through the A/V receiver was rather "echo-y".

Somehow, mom managed to switch the receiver to "Jazz Hall" ambience, probably by accidentally hitting the wrong button on the remote control.

I fixed it back before returning back here to the desktop.

What happens when the "Night Attack" crew meets half of the "No Agenda" crew...

Think I might not have had a good answer for a friend asking a favor. Friend had a vertical video that needed to be rotated horizontal. Most messing with video I've done has been transferring old stuff from VHS to DVD, in a machine made for that purpose, then condensing the DVD and uploading the video to YouTube... and it's been a few years since I ( Read more... )

Not sure WHY, maybe a different frame rate, but when I'm watching something produced in the UK on Blu-ray lately, the motion is rather jerky, unless I set my TV to display in "Game" mode, then it's fine. Both "Red Dwarf:Back to Earth" and "Monty Python Live: One Down, Five to Go" experience the issue.

And now for something completely SILLY... all the "grunts" from "Home Improvement"...

A rarity happened this afternoon. I had the video stream of "This Week in Law" in one window, the IRC chat for the show open in XChat. Then a friend sends an IM, so another window popped up. Repositioned/resized everything to fit snuggly on the screen, as to remain visible.

Lesson I learned... I REALLY, REALLY need a larger computer monitor!

Andrew is out with his girlfriend this afternoon. As a result, able to watch "The Tech Guy" on the higher bitrate stream on the BIG TV for the first time in ages without having to worry about buffering because he's using bandwidth!
