This weekend there was an Octoberfest celebration at one of the baseball parks here in Tucson. Reid Park is a humongous park with two golf course, the zoo and lots of picnic pavillions and a good size baseball park. I drove wayfinder38 to his dermatologist appointment today. We started early so we could stop for breakfast. I wanted to try the breakfast burrito at Carl's Jr. I had the bacon and egg combo meal and wayfinder38 had the sourdough breakfast sandwich combo. We met with wayfinder38's urologist yesterday to get the results of the bladder biopsies taken the week before. First he told us that there was high grade cancer but it was not invasive. Also it is the papillary type and not CIS. This means another series of the BCG (tuberculosis bacillus) as bio therapy ( Read more... )

We have been putting in about 15 hours a day of work during this move. It is not all packing and transporting boxes there is also all the decisions that have to be made about where to put stuff once we get it here. The space that we would use for storage is not available until the roof is repaired so we will be putting it all in the quest bedroom ( Read more... )

We limped into Tucson at sunset Saturday. We had to unhitch the car in New Mexico and I drove it while wayfinder38 drove the motorhome. He had to stop several times to let the engine compartment cool down. We made it up the Texas Canyon summit, we took a rest there and the weather was cooling down. compactspleen's MIL phoned yesterday to ask what we are doing this weekend. It's nice to have buddies to do things with.
