Frustrations continue. Today they called to say the Primary Care Doctor's schedule changed and they postponed wayfinder38's appointment from July 24 t o October 9. This is unacceptable and I said so. Things are pretty quiet around here. wayfinder38 completed radiation therapy last week. They even gave him a certificate. He was back to using a wheel chair last week as he was feeling so weak. He is sleeping most of the time. Our sleep schedules are not in synch at all. I am waking up around 5 a.m. and can't get back to sleep. wayfinder38 hates to go to bed so ( Read more... )

wayfinder38 is holding his own this week as his hemoglobin was 10 last week and 10.1 this week. Also last week the urologist slowly pulled out the drain from the abscess. They will keep an eye on him so he goes in again tomorrow. He was there twice last week. We are hoping that all the MRSA is gone. Tuesday we met with the Social Worker from Home Health and we accomplished two important items. I had told her on the phone that I would appreciate assistance in finding a new Primary Care Physician for wayfinder38. She came prepared with recommendations. I decided I wanted to try My Big Fat Greek Restaurant. A new restaurant to Tucson. My sister arrived about 6 PM and we visited for awhile so we didn't get there until 8. Some days wayfinder38 wants to go along on all the errands and then there are days when I have to ask twice to get him to come along. I was going out to the insurance adjusters and wanted him to go with me to take part in the decisions. No matter how many airlines I tried I could not find reasonable price tickets between Tucson and Minneapolis. If we flew to Minneapolis we would need to rent a car and a motel room and would not be able to spend time in Madison. If we drove we would still need a motel room.
