In my last entry about character encounters during my travels I forgot to mention the lovely camp staff member at Birmingham Intl. The door to arrivals was shut so he opened it and yelled "ehhh scoozz meee!! We neeeed a door maid!....oh...well...er....I'll just hold it then!"

Going to the airport is always an adventure in itself. From the flirty security man to the spiteful passport controller. I do get myself in some right dilemmas sometimes. While I normally solve these complicated situations (I.e opening a can of tuna with a blunt knife, fixing a pot handle with a hair pin and un-wedging a drain plug with a knife) this time I'm in a real pickle!

I was rummaging through old boxes in my room last night (at 2.30 am...) and found lots of great stuff...
A postcard and stamps from when I went to Greece in senior year, all my old diaries with the oldest dating from 2000, my golf club membership tag, the baby plate, school achievement awards etc

Prawn-tactic
Germans love prawns. No they don't just love them, they have an unhealthy obsession with them. Buffets - first thing gone are the prawns. Anyway my parents have been having food wars, especially over prawns. As soon as my dad spies prawns in the fridge he expects an amazing 5 course meal, prawned up to the max.

So I woke up this morning and when I got to the bathroom found the kitchen sink was clogged with the plug firmly wedged in. I even dipped my hand into the mucky water that had started to collect but could not get the plug out. Darn it. Strangers on a Train
There are some right weirdos in Brum on a Friday night. I was taking the train home after my birthday drinks (I wasn't as buzzed and weird as Wednesday...so don't think drunk Yas on a train is becoming a common theme!). Last Night
So last night was interesting. I had a bottle of Rose, to myself..pretty much. I would not say I was "drunk" per se but certainly buzzed. When I got on the train home I kept laughing at myself and people around me started to stare.
