We send out these surveys to find out how readers feel about our publications. I was just on a call going over the results of one, and some of the suggestions for improvement of the hospital or the newsletter were hilarious. These were my two favorites:

I just turned the page and saw a photo of a penile shaft that was all blotchy and stuff. *Retch* I could never be in the actual health care industry.

Have you ever noticed that no one ever wants to eat the last of anything in office kitchens? I was just in ours, and it contained a half-eaten avocado, a quarter of a bagel, and about 20 kernels of kettle corn. I ate the last of the kettle corn, and I don't care who knows it.

We had free sandwiches and salad yesterday and today for lunch. And then I decided to go outside with a couple of co-workers because it is ridiculously gorgeous out, and there was a festival where local restaurants were giving away free food and drinks. Rawk!

But now I really don't feel like doing any work...

so i think i have an ingrown fingernail. the ring finger on my right hand is all swolen and painful on the side. i'm soaking it in a hand towel that i stole from a hotel bathroom when i was drunk one time. i guess i'll keep it on for 20 minutes or so. this is interfering with my job. speaking of alcohol and work, we are supposed to go out for ( Read more... )

Happy Red Sox Opening Day, everyone! Since the Sox are playing their first couple of games in Japan, the game this morning started at 6 a.m. I found out about an event that was being hosted by a local radio station at a fancy hotel near where I work, so I decided to go because it involved free sushi and the opportunity to win tickets. So, my boss just called me into her office, and apparently, I’m getting a raise and a bonus, but I’ve only been at this job since October, so it totally doesn’t affect my life at all. I had a doctor's appointment this morning a couple of blocks down from my old office, so I stopped by afterward. It was strange because I walked in and felt like nothing had changed. I am so loving this 4-day weekend. Actually, it's more like a 4 1/2-day weekend because I left work really early on Wednesday because I had nothing to do. Oddly, I was a little bit nervous about having this much time off because I sometimes feel uncomfortable when I have no plans and I'm home alone, but I've really been enjoying having the whole ( Read more... )
