One of my new goals is to watch a bunch of movies that I should have seen--and everyone else has seen--but for some reason I never have. I called my brother last night at around 8:30 to ask if my mom had started watching The Golden Globes. We had both DVR'd it. I said, "OK, don't say anything to her, but when she screams about two minutes after the show starts, tell her that she can call me because I've already starting watching it." I love DVR. Mark in my office said that back in the '80s, movie theaters used to be nearly empty on Christmas. He said it would be "three Jews and an Asian person." How times have changed.
