Stuff I hate to say, but need to
So it's obviously been a very long time since I've hit the old LJ, but sometimes I have stuff I just need to get out, and this is the best place to do it. Facebook and Twitter tend to be a lot of my venting space, but sometimes the things I'm venting aren't to be seen by people that follow me there. I've been blogging!
So I've been determined to get back to the blog. Between hobby stuff, gaming stuff, having a kid stuff and being queer stuff, there's been a lot of stuff worth writing. So in a weird bit of good fortune, Blindfury and I have managed to fit in several games of Flames of War lately. So it's been awhile
So apparently my latest "I need to blog more" push didn't go quite as planned. I know that a large part of it is that I can't reach LJ at work - and that's something I need to figure a way around. There's been too much that's happened, too much that I'd like to get down on paper, and it'll slip my brain if I don't get it down sooner rather than ( Read more... ) -
Starting new
So the new job didn't actually start when it was supposed to - just a few days before I was supposed to start I got a phone call, a "yeah, some things still aren't worked out yet, so would you be able to start next Monday instead?" Part of me was freaked - was this in response to my questions to HR about being gender fluid? But the non-paranoid ( Read more... ) -
The new gig
So after what seems like forever, I'm finally found a new position, and am moving on from my current firm. This Friday represents my last day at the old place, and I start on Tuesday. I'm obviously nervous moving on - the devil you know vs the devil you don't and all that - but I'm extremely excited too.
