It is great being retired!

But I didn't think so at first...in fact my youngest daughter and my long time friend/secretary had to come and talk me out of the ladies room to attend the really delightful retirement party given for me.  I was glad they did, but not until it was all over.  That was December 23, 2008.

The last two weeks have kind of vanished.  I ended up in the ER on Oct 21st with some respiratory problems.  Nothing like a forced inhalation of epinepherine to get the heart pounding and the hands shaking.

I have learned a universal truth about using a cane...it is very difficult to use a cane, carry my 'work bag', and hold an umbrella all at the same time.  The work bag is full of a lunch box, my purse, homework, a book to read at lunch time and a snack.  Umbrella is a nice large one, and while trying to shut and lock my car door last week I almost ( Read more... )
