I haven't been terribly busy for load-in, which has been fantastic. Basically, I've been the "extra" hands and the go-fer. There are some moulding pieces that will need painting, but hopefully that will be it. There is So. Much. CRAP in the scene shop!

We still have the past two sets' worth of flats, platforms, lumber, and assorted debris taking up every available corner of the shop where it's been shoved to make room for all the steel and lumber for this show. Any floor space that's left is being used to hold all the currently built and in-progress ( Read more... )

Aside from the sore throat, the most irritating thing at the moment is my inability to stay asleep. Gah. So, I'm trying to finish the centerpieces for our fundraiser and would have finished except we had a post-mortem for Diary of Anne Frank this morning that meant we stayed downtown until this afternoon. So, I finally figured out how to go about this drawing that's been sitting in my head forever. However, the Muse has gone completely compulsive, so I'm slowly making my way through Tudor arches and objets d'art rather than working on the figures right now. Yesterday was our big Post-Load-In Get-Everything-Done Work Call, in which we attempt to deal with any remaining set/paint/prop/electric issues before the show goes into Dress Rehearsal.
