Gah. So, I'm trying to finish the centerpieces for our fundraiser and would have finished except we had a post-mortem for Diary of Anne Frank this morning that meant we stayed downtown until this afternoon. The centerpieces should be done tomorrow, then, and we'll be setting them up sometime on Friday or Saturday, it looks like.
We also have a strike for not one, but two shows this weekend, yey! Muskie Love and Anne Frank both end this Sunday afternoon. We'll be taking Muskie out Sunday evening and then dealing with Anne Frank during the day on Monday. The former shouldn't be too big a task, but the latter is rather on the huge side. Plus, there's a lobby display that needs to be packed up nicely and shipped back to its home, and next week is technically when we begin building the next show, Permanent Collection.
I also need to get my resume polished and sent out in the next day or so if I don't want to miss an important deadline. I think I don't need any portfolio images, but I may be wrong. eep.
Truthfully, none of this would really be an issue if I weren't trying to squeeze in other things that I'd much rather be doing like finishing one drawing, developing another, and getting Evey's head painted. As it is, I'm having to keep re-adjusting my state of mind to not view my job as a nuisance that I really wish was out of the way. A lot of my problem right now is that we're not quite into the swing of the next show coming up yet; once that happens, I can re-settle tasks into a more coherent pattern. Right now things are messy because we're not building yet, but there's the little centerpiece project going, and some random meetings, and then a great big work call for strike, twice... it's all or nothing, and it's maddening.
