This morning I was reading one of my newer books and counted three typos in the space of about 20 pages. The incorrect words were still words, which was no doubt why the computer spellchecker didn't catch them: "than" instead of "that", and so on. Once upon a time, my husband and I were extraordinarily stupid and went to a school that obliged us to take out massive student loans.
