hey ho. BT have been out. The phone engineer had never seen a socket like the one they installed here, but I was pleased to note that it was their socket as fitted on June 14th that was causing the problem this time. Unless the phone is plugged into the normally hidden test socket then I have no phone line. I still have no broadband at all though. ( Read more... )

I can't be arsed. My phoneline was dead yesterday, the broadband also down in it's usual intermittent faults was off too. I rang BT to report it, 'oh dear you seem to be having a lot of problems with your line and broadband aren't you?' I'm told.
