Sadly hon, don't hold your breath, a friend of mine is in a similar position, she lives in the middle of the wilds, BT put in broadband and she's had nothing but problems ever since - and we are talking a year and half since it went in for her too :-(
Although saying that, when the line did pack in, they were pretty good about having her calls transferred to her mobile.

I really am sorry to hear your are suffering all this unecesarry crap from BT.
Hope they keep their promise for Tuesday and hope you are keeping warm in the mean time.
