So I am going skiing over spring break! This is my first time ever traveling on spring break, and my last chance to do it.
I am staying at Caberfae Peaks ski resort in Northern Michigan.
We found some great deals, and it will only cost us $100 ea for 3 days for 4 of us. That includes hotel, ski rental, and lift tickets.

The Experiment
Today I ate a full size candy bar for the first time in many years. I had been craving a Butterfinger all week after finding out they are gluten free, and having a very stressful, tiring week. Several things happened to me during the four or so bites it took to eat the thing:

Food Pyramid Review
When I heard you could tailor the new food pyramid to your body at mypyramid.gov, I got pretty interested. So I plugged in my stats and chose "food guide to be a new healthy you". The calorie recommendation for me to LOSE weight at 45 min of activity a day is 2200 CALORES. WHAT?! Now I don't keep a food journal, but I am aware of the volume of ( Read more... ) -

So I'm pretty sure I have dermatitis herpetiformis (a big symptom of celiac) and they misdiagnosed it as PLEVA. I just did a google image search for it (don't do this if you have a weak stomach, by the way) and some of the pictures look exactly like what I had. Mosey Down Main St
I bought some sheep's milk cheese at Main St Cheese. Crotonese. Rather tastes like Romano, a little smoother. The lady working said i must really like cheese if i can just eat it straight like that. In fact, I rather do like cheese a lot. I suppose the experience might be heightened by the addition of a cracker, but I rarely have gluten free ( Read more... )
