Kicking my butt into gear, literally
I feel jazzed.
Come November, I will have completed the last class in the Archives and Records Management program at the local college. It'll be nice to have that completed on my resume, and to free up another night of the week. As a reward to myself, I will use that spare night and sign up for a class. Breaking rocks in the hot sun
After spending yesterday afternoon and evening at a wonderful wedding, I had an early morning today. Woke up at 5am (gaaahhh!!!) and once Carolyn came by, we got on the road to Montreal. After 5 years, it's time to make a big change. On Tuesday, I started working at Library and Archives Canada. My job is to sort through the stacks, one shelf at a time, hunting for Canadiana to preserve, in preparation for a shift to a new high-density storage facility. I absolutely love it. For the past few weeks, Steve and I have been pre-choosing our menu for the week. This has been a fantastic experiment for a few reasons. More crafty things, and PIE!
This Saturday, check out the Simply Raw Festival in Central Park, on Clemow in the Glebe. There'll be food, vendors (including us!), food, presentations, yoga, food, and even a pie contest. Woo, weekend!
I'm looking forward to the Orleans Festival d'Orleans on Sunday. I feel mostly ready. Printed off a new sign, new items are in the inventory list, and the rest of the kit is safely tucked in the boxes from last week. Now I just have to make sure I remember to bring a chair.

Crafting, fairs, and more gardening.
The craft season has officially begun! Roxy and I (aka Drakestail) were at Minto Park on Sunday for Ravenswing Craft/Zine Fair. Lots of fun, and I bought a cute little tomato plant, an heirloom called Pruden's Purple. Can't wait to see what that one tastes like.
