Just posting in a hurry before running off to the school, but I just managed to win an L5R tournament (despite having only played two games before entering it).  First prize?  Some cards (whee), and...  a shiny sword.  Now, it's very much ornamental, but still, it's a damn cool prize.  

So, I'm started up at law school.  So far it looks like I'm really going to enjoy it, but it's early.  Also, it's starting off pretty easy, but I'm sure things will pick up in difficulty as things go on.

Among my first examinable materials:  A Hollywood movie, and Al Gore.

Yeah, not kidding, either. 

Went to the doctor today, and got a diagnosis of bronchitis for my persistent coughing.  I now have a bottle of fun antibiotics, along with instructions to start worrying if I don't get better in four days.  This actually pleases me, because I really like this notion that I won't feel like I'm drowning or coughing up bits of lung four days from now

So...  I went and saw Transformers, and enjoyed it.  All the same, it's a bit odd at times.  Summary follows.  Warning:  Spoilers.

1)  Try not to suck.  I know this is hard, because you're the opening band and were thus chosen because you were willing to take the shit spot on the billing, and wouldn't show up the main act...  but dear god, you can do better than that.
