My Jesús just left last Monday for Iraq. He's in Kuwait now, doing ok, I've talked to him a couple of times. There's e-mail, Burger King, and Pizza Hut. Oh and there's a desert. I'm just starting my senior research project (that I will be working on all year). I'm finally back in the US!And thank God. I have never been so glad to be home. When my plane landed in Charlotte, the pilot said "welcolm to America everyone!" Hello! I am still here and feeling much better than last week. I read about the parasite I got online though, and apparently it's the gift that keeps on giving- ie; there's no treatment that can get rid of it, you can only treat the syptoms. It shouldn't be a problem though unless my immune system gets really weak for some reason. Great ( Read more... )

Well, Costa Rica gave me a present. It's a parasite. I had been having problems with my stomach this week, and it was really bad yesterday, so I went to the doctor. He gave me some antibiotics, he said it should be better in a few days. But man, it sucks being sick away from home. A quick update. I've been pretty busy, this has been kind of a crazy week. Last weekend I went to Playa Tamarindo, a surfing town on the Pacfic Coast. It was pretty fun, low key.
