HAPPY GRADUATION, SARAH!! Congratulations! I hope it was a wonderful day.

Sorr, I know that's kind of belated. I was going to update earlier, but the first few days of the week always seem to be hectic.

So last weekend, I went white water rafting with some friends, on Rio Pacuare, a river not far from the city. I was a little scared because I've never done anything like that before, but it was fun, we had a great time. There were class III and IV rapids, which I guess are moderate to difficult. It got pretty rough for me, but our guide was really good and told us exactly what to do. Only one person fell out of our boat, and thankfully it wasn't me :) The trip was beautiful, the river went through the raiforest and we saw glimpses of a lot of different animals. I wish I had been able to take my camera.

That was all I did last weekend, and this weekend is still up in the air. I was supposed to go on a field trip with my ecology class to the Bay of Curu, but apparently there's a hurricane heading for that part of the coast, so it was cancelled. I might be going to Tamarindo, a surfing town on the northeren pacific coast, but we'll see.

This week, we went to the only Outback restaurant in Costa Rica to celebrate this girl Kristen's birthday, and that was fun. But man, I'm getting spoiled by the prices here! I payed $8 for my meal, and it felt like a fortune. I'm used to paying $2-$3 for a meal, ususally. Having to pay american prices again is going to be a shock.

And the countdown continues- 5 weeks as of tomorrow!
