It's been a while

My Jesús just left last Monday for Iraq. He's in Kuwait now, doing ok, I've talked to him a couple of times. There's e-mail, Burger King, and Pizza Hut. Oh and there's a desert. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to say goodbye, I think the stress leading up to it was worse. He might be able to get leave to come for my graduation in May, which would be really excititng. I realized after he left that we've never gone without talking for more than a few days in over a year. It's kind of a shock not to be able to call him anymore.

Anyway, moving on. Since I updated last... Geo still is pretty much all I do in my spare time, but that's ok. It keeps my mind off other things. I pretty much gave up on the job search, started volunteering at Mathew Whaley with child who has ADD. He's fun, a lot higher functioning than the kids I usually work with. Maybe someday I'll learn where they hide the kids with autism. Anyway, I think with volunteering and my thesis, a job might be too much this semester. I'm not one of those W&M students who can be involved in a thousand activities at once. However, I still reserve the right to complain about how busy I am.

I still can't eat like a normal person and my stomach hates me. Not quite sure what's the matter with me, but it's probably some sort of stress related problem. So, stress relief suggestions? Alcohol is out, it makes my stomach unhappy.

It's fall break! I'm at home, which is nice. I spent most of yesterday at the Folk Festival and that was a lot of fun. I heard Puerto Rican bomba (and tried to dance), irish flute, blue grass... and the rest I forgot. It was kind of rainy, but there were still a lot of people there. The rest of the weekend has been... nerdy. Went to church, but the rest of the day I've been reading for... Geo! Of course. I started working on my Philosophy midterm (the answers are in his notes), and studied for my Geo 401 midterm. Tommorrow I'm thinking will be more of the same. I just can't pass up this oppurtunity to get caught up on my geo stuff. Oh, and maybe I'll get a haircut.

Right now I'm enjoying a kids movie (African Journey) that my mom got for the kids she babysits. I know, kind of sad, but it's educational! (Did you know that a lot of people in Africa are poor and have aids?) And now... it's bedtime.
