There are times that I miss my old house in Indianapolis. With it being built in the 1960's, it was a sturdy house that was built with a pride in workmanship. This house? So, I am officially off on vacation this week except for about 4 meetings I have to attend. I have 1/2 of these done already, have a hour meeting tomorrow and a 1/2 hour meeting on Thursday (which will require about 1/2 hour work afterwards to document the decisions that were made). It's been a good weekend for the most part. I took the day off o Friday (it was my scheduled Friday off, so I really did use it), and I painted our staircase hallway. Sunday started out with Bear allowing me to sleep in.. I so needed it. Once up, we went over to Busch Gardens. Shekra, the roller coaster which hangs you at a 90 degree angle for several seconds before dropping you, had been modified several months ago.. The park took the floor out of the coaster so that you now had a very unobstructed view. ( Read more... )

Yesterday was a nice day... I blew off my duties to pack and clean for the majority of the day so that I could go out with a friend and see a movie and have lunch. It was a well needed break. Well, the guest room is officially painted. Yeah! I also have the timer light switches that we bought a few years ago (and I can't remember where I bought them at since they were an internet purchase) have been switched out as well to normal light switches.
