House hunting...

Yesterday was a nice day... I blew off my duties to pack and clean for the majority of the day so that I could go out with a friend and see a movie and have lunch. It was a well needed break. We went to go see "Love and Music". As a child that grew up in the 80's, it was a cute movie with a lot of references that I doubt younger viewers would get. It probably could have been edited down by almost 20-30 minutes, but it was entertaining overall. Once home, I ordered pizza, watched Little Miss Sunshine, which reminded me *so* much of family live when I was younger (except for the grandfather dying and putting him in the trunk.. I think the closest we ever got to that was a hamster dying in the car, my older brother holding him up by the tail and wailing about how "Fonzie" had died, and my mother was trying to keep us on a schedule so we couldn't bury him immediately. Of course, there was all sorts of chaos in the 30 year old car while this was happening). Anyway, felt a little lonely after the second movie, so Bear called and talked with me a lot last night. He went out looking at houses yesterday. Didn't find anything that screamed "Honey, I'm home", but he said he found some good possibilities. The real estate agent was asking why we were looking at more expensive houses when we were trying to bargin the first house down so much. Bear explained that the bargining had nothing to do with what we could afford, but how much, after our research on the house, be believed the house was worth. Our real estate agent said that she had to compliment us for being so well informed for most people buy a home stricktly on gut feeling and don't logically think about such things or do research prior to making an offer. Personally, I think that it's silly for someone not to do this...It's one of the reasons that the housing market in Florida is as crazy as it is, because people get invested into the thought of living in a house prior to buying it and thus will offer anything for the house, thus driving up the prices for everyone. With the housing market being on a bubble right now, I don't want to buy a house and then find out that I'm upside down already in it because the bubble burst. Anyway, Bear took some video of a few of the houses and I'm anxiously awaiting him getting it uploaded so that I can see the houses. He're to hoping we can get into something soon.
