November's almost over!

Can the last day of November really be this week? With all the traveling that I've been doing I've completely lost track of time.

To start off with, three weeks ago Bear and I went to Disney for 2 days. It wasn't for anything special, we just both knew that we needed a little breather and the International Food and Wine Festival was going on. We were able to hit all of the parks in the 2 days that we were there. I have to say, I *LOVE* the new roller coaster in Animal Kingdom, Everest. It's fantastic!! We spent a really relaxing night at Epcot too, tasting the different foods and wine. At one point, a young boy pointed to Bear and myself and mentioned to his mom how we were cuddling on the park bench. That was a great memory, for we were sipping champaign with me cuddled up to Bear and star gazing.

So, when we got home, I immediately had to pack for my November Indy trip. I got everything packed and left bright and early the next day. I was a little annoyed by the TSA security for they made me take off my sweat shirt prior to going through the metal detector. This held up the line while I pulled it off over my head. I swear that these guys don't have anything better to do than to invent rules for getting through the line. Once I got to Indy, I went and picked up a car and got checked into the hotel. I was somewhat of a homebody this time around for the first week I was there because of the amount of work that needed to get done. Of course, I forgot to check to see what was in Indy the week I was there. I was in an open atrium hotel and several high school bands checked in (AKA over 1000 kids in my hotel, away from the parents for the first time). They were there for the Bands Across America contest in the RCA dome. Needless to say, not much sleep was procured during this time. I got away finally from work and the hotel on Friday when I went to go meet a friend. Yeah! :D We had Indian at one of our favorite Indian restaurants in Castleton. The waitress, Ronnie, talked with me for several minutes indicating I had to bring Bear back up there when we was up in town next. Bear then flew in on Saturday and we switched hotels. We did a lot of visiting with friends over the several days that he was there. Amusingly, we tried 3 times to go to the Indianapolis Museum of Art to see the Roman Exhibit which was traveling from its home base at the Louvre. It's only visiting 3 places in the US, and Indy was one of them. Every time we tried, the museum wasn't open. We finally chaulked it up as our bad luck and we're going to have to fly to Paris to see it.

As for Thanksgiving, we headed out to my parents house on Tuesday. We stopped by Shapiros to get a chocolate cake since my older brother's birthday was on Thanksgiving this year. The whole family was able to meet up this year, which was *great*. And Thanksgiving dinner was *fantastic*!! We also took a little time out to go see Hitman, which was surprisingly good. We then flew home on Saturday.

As for this weekend, it's been a weekend of ups and downs. We were suppose to have our new fence in prior to getting back home. The neighbors here are *VERY* concerned about anything anyone does to their homes. We had a note written indicating that we had to get approval from the architectual board (which we already had) and the fence had to be back 6-8 feet from the sidewalk (which is different than what the architectual board said was ok). We had another neighbor tell the fencers they had to stop working because they didn't have a permit. We had someone else (after hours) pull 2 of our fence poles out. When we finall got back to the house, everything got straightened out, but not before we had another 2 neighbors come by and ask if we made sure we could put our fence so close to the sidewalk. (we left 24 inches from the sidewalk to the fence, and there are others who placed theirs all the way up to the sidewalk). Anyway, things were resolved, and we now have a new fence!! Yeah!! It's amazing how much bigger our back yard looks as well. I'm going to have to do some landscaping, but the house is really starting to feel good.

So, that's my November in a nutshell. :D
