Happy Birthday Carson!!!!
It's my son's 3rd birthday today, and due to a serious illness at our dayhome, he's in Red Deer. I won't see him at all today, and my heart breaks because of that. I know he doesn't really know the difference, and is happy to be with his Ama and Papa, but I know and I've already shed more than a few tears. Well, ball is done for the weekend....between last Monday and this Monday I'll have played 10 games. Mike's ticked because he got hurt Tuesday night and hasn't been able to play, yet I've played on my team and both of his. Suck it up, princess!

This weekend was great. The kids and I spent a great day on Saturday, just me and my babies. I loved it. There was time at the park, some bike riding - on their part, not mine - Alex just gets too tired if when she tries to keep up with me on my bike even though I'm going so slow I'm almost going backwards! a brief post from my blackberry on the Daulton situation
Back in February Daulton came to live with us because he asked to. Mike had a long talk with him explaining that life with us is different than what he's used to and why. Things like: we have rules, there will be a bed time, we do things sa a family, etc. Daulton wanted to come so mike went out and brought him to calgary with all of his stuff. ( Read more... ) -

My unlaws arrived on Friday morning. They were supposed to come this Wednesday so that makes them 5 days early. Here's hoping for a good visit and that I can hold my tounge when alain starts going on about his recently diagnosed meneir's. Dude do I need to remind you again that my mom has had that for 50 years!!! -

My father-in-law called last night with some *great* news - they're coming to visit and will be here on Saturday. I know they're excited for the birth of their (probably last) grandchild, but I REALLY don't want them in my house right now. But what do you do. I had an appointment with the obstetrician, and after discussing how I'm feeling and how things went with my first labour and delivery, she's decided that she wants to induce me at 37 1/2 weeks. My best friend moved to Barbados yesterday - and I already miss her! She's been there through all the momentus occasions in my life. Remarkably, I kept my promise and didn't cry until after she walked through the security gates, but then I bawled! I wish her so much happiness and am already saving for a trip ( Read more... ) -
Whew!
Well, today started out great until I was ready to go to work. I chose to wear my calf high boots this morning and that's where things went downhill. I put them on and decided the look wasn't what I wanted so I took them off, or tried to anyway. The zipper on one got stuck and I couldn't get the boot off, nor could I get the zipper back up.
