the calm before the crazy!
This weekend was great. The kids and I spent a great day on Saturday, just me and my babies. I loved it. There was time at the park, some bike riding - on their part, not mine - Alex just gets too tired if when she tries to keep up with me on my bike even though I'm going so slow I'm almost going backwards! I told Mike we needed to bring the bike trailer so I could go for a proper ride, but he didn't want to. And we went swimming and to Starbucks for "coffee".
Mike was gone to ball all day, and they won their league playoffs. Yay them. This is the same team that I'm playing with for Cities this week and weekend.
This week is shaping up to be a crazy one for me. Ball Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, pick up the kids in Cochrane after work Thursday, ball all day Saturday, and Sunday at 9am. Not to mention work all week. As soon as the 9am game is over on Sunday, I head to Red Deer with the kids for Tycen's birthday party. Apparently it's a party for Tycen and Chase since Ken and Brenda are going to be away in October. I have to remember to check with Heather to see if I need to bring Chase's birthday present there too.
I have numerous birthday presents, school supplies and a new back to school outfit to buy within the next two weeks.....and I have no idea when I'm going to get it done. Friday night sounds like the night!
I embraced the relaxation of the weekend, knowing that this week will be crazy. If this sinus headache I've been battling for 2 days would go away, I'd be better off but....*Deep breath*......I'm ready, bring it on!
