So I haven't been on in a while, and this isn't going to be a long post. I've got time to summarize my weekend, and the rest will have to wait.
I leave for Jamaica in two days. I have US money, a passport and a razor with blades, and that's the extend of my preparations right now! I'm freaking out a little, but I know it will all come together and I'll arrive in Jamaica safely with all of the appropriate accessories. I'm already feeling the ache in my heart because I'm missing my kids, but I know that they'll be happily playing at Ama & Papa's (Carson) or enjoying some much needed Daddy/Daughter time (Alexandra). The reality is I'll miss them more than they'll miss me. I have so much to do before I leave, but most of it trying to leave Mike prepared for when I'm gone. So if it doesn't get done, he'll have to figure it out all on his own......not such a bad thing!
Carson's birthday party was on Saturday, with his actual birthday being Wednesday. Saturday morning he crawled in to bed with me. The rash that is on his bum has seemed to migrate up to his ears. So.....with 4 hours until the birthday party, off we go to the walk in clinic. Mike was at school, so I couldn't even leave Alex home with him. Entertaining two kids when the possibility looms that the excitement of the day being cancelled or not depends on what the doctor has to say, especially when I have no idea when we'll be seen, was not fun. 2 hours later, the doc said he's got a viral rash that will likely go away between 2 weeks and 3 months - but that it's safe to have the birthday party. Ok then! Prescription filled and home we go. Luckily I had taken Friday afternoon off to get some pre-work for my trip and the birthday party done, so I managed to greet the guests with everything done.
We're looking at moving to Airdrie. We've put a deposit on a lot, and if we can get the house price to where we want it (soooooo close) then we'll sign on the dotted line when I get home from Jamaica. If all goes well, by next summer we'll be living in a bigger house. Fingers crossed!!!
Our warehouse is built, the financing is almost advanced and we have one tenant in two bays. That means the bills get paid, yay!!! Now all we have to do is find a tenant for the "money bay" - and it looks like the tenant in the other bays may want to take all three. That would be S.W.E.E.T! One less stress on the pile.
This month presents lots of positive changes for my life, and a great opportunity to head away with my best friend. Yay for November!
