January 18 ,2021: Salt Fat Acid Heat
I often do my January platelet donation on New Year's Day, but things got busy for me that week. Instead I did it on Martin Luther King Day, which seemed like the best way to celebrate that day that I could think of. My movie for the day wasn't really a movie, but instead was Salt Fat Acid Heat. Winter sports recap
It's kind of weird to think that I only signed up for basketball (and later, hockey) as something to fill the time after football ends and before baseball. I did pretty well in the winter sports this year. My hockey league was a public winners' head-to-head league. I finished second in the regular season, then had some dumb luck in the playoffs. Fantasy football (and, um, baseball) postmortem
It's been far too long since I did this. I'm a whole season behind! Here are my results, starting with football (because it's somewhat fresh in my mind).( Here be words and boringness ) -
I got Ovechkin, and he's the only player on my team I've ever heard of.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I signed up for a fantasy hockey league! I know nothing about hockey. I think it's time to admit that I might have a fantasy sports problem. -
Football?
I have one spot left in a pretty casual fantasy football league if anyone is interested. Experience is not necessary; I just want someone who won't quit on this halfway through the year. -

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get a 12-year-old to exercise and be active? I'm getting worried about my son. We do have a family membership to the YMCA, which has exercise equipment and a pool.
