Two fantasy baseball trades in Chief auction league
Trade 1: I give Nate McLouth, get James Shields and Leonys Martin. This one just landed in my lap out of nowhere. I kind of view Martin and McLouth as roughly equals (especially with McLouth's platoon splits), so I'm basically getting a free James Shields. Yeah, I'll take that.
The problem is that I now have too much pitching, and the league has a rather low IP limit. So I put out a note on the league message board that I'm willing to trade a pitcher for a hitter. I had a few offers rejected, but I get one where a guy wants to give up Yasiel Puig to get Madison Bumgarner. Bum has been fantastic, but I'll make that deal in a heartbeat. It will be fun to look back on these deals at the end of the year.
