Food: Considering I decided to cook just yesterday, it went well :) First the good...mashed potatoes, rosemary rolls and decadent chocolate silk pie. The not so good...the turkey was a bit dry, and I used sweet Italian sausage which didn't work as well in the stuffing. Here's the scenario...I get an email from Nick's Health teacher that he has an "A" in the class and we don't need to have a conference (I had sent him an email asking how Nick was doing in general). Wow...I am priviledged to witness the first black American elected President of the United States. A bit like seeing the Berlin Wall come down, I had tears in my eyes. We just got home from a Halloween party at Nick's friend Michael's house. Wow, they put on a show! About 40 kids, 30 adults, tons of food, and they transformed their entire dining/living room into a haunted house. It was amazing, and the kids had an absolute blast. Our house is now vacant and still for rent. We had an asshat who dangled us for awhile but never came through (is it so hard to call and say "we've changed out minds, thanks for your time?"), so we lowered the price to $2,150 for the entire property. We could sell if we wanted to drop the price about $25K, but I'm not willing to do that and would rather keep it another few years until the market improves.
