Well, it was their idea to throw the party and they asked me what theme I'd like, lol. Thanks, glad you liked it.

Thank you so much! It was -- we took lots of pics and everyone said what a shame it was to cut it, but we did and it was also delicious!

My daughter-in-law's friend made it and she used to work for Charm City Cakes, which you may have seen on the Food Network show, "The Ace of Cakes."

I do know of Charm City Cakes and considering the kind of work they produce, it's no surprise that it was a great cake! :)

Oh, what fun! I am super jealous of those mini top hat party favors. Very cute.

My daughter-in-law ordered them online. Then she glued on ribbon trim, "rhinstones", feathers and some gears I got at Michaels craft store. Since the plastic of the hats was pretty thin, it was easy to use a hole punch to allow an elastic to be threaded through so that they could be worn. They looked cute on the folks who did wear them (some said the elastics were a bit tight for their heads, lol.)

Thank you -- and it was so gorgeous I could hardly believe it. I knew they were planning a special cake but when I saw it I was totally blown away. Plus, it was yummy, too.
