Looking through this earlier I realised that it is a year ago today since my last posting on Livejournal. I thought I had better show myself so that folks can at least see that I am still alive. I had my first visit to the fracture clinic yesterday to check out my leg. It's been about 10 says since I bust it and have been awaiting some kind of prognosis/timescale about when I can get back to normal ( Read more... )

I stupidly wasn't paying enough attention whilst crossing a busy road on Friday and got hit in the right leg by a passing taxi outside work. End result was me being rushed to A&E in an ambulance with a fractured tibia (I think that is the right word) and a very swollen ankle. A few hours in casualty and my leg is plastered below the knee to my toes ( Read more... )

Neil and I are having our Civil Partnership on August 5th. We can't wait, then month later it will be followed by a service of blessing at the church we attended when I lived in Clapham. The last year and a half has been wonderful, and we know that now we are in Brighton we are where we are meant to be. Not sure yet about exactly why, but we do ( Read more... )

Yesterday was a day when London caught a glimpse of the evil that the human mind can be truly capable of. Yet, as I see the news today, we also get a glimpse of many, many people going out of their way to offer what assistance they can to those who have been hurt in the bombings. Well, yes.......I am all hot and sweaty. Have you any idea what it is like trying to sleep during the day in these temperatures? The whole of London is like one giantic sauna at the moment and I don't like it.....not this type of heat anyway, it's just too sticky for me ( Read more... )

In my last entry I mentioned that I was enduring a bout of tonsillitis, well after i had recovered and returned to work last Tuesday night, it turned into a little more drama.
