[Notice her he does, although the books interest him more than the swimsuit. Because he loves books, for one thing, and because seeing anybody carrying that many around is rare. And like the gentleman he is, he can't help but wonder if she's carrying more than he can handle.]

Excuse me, miss? Do you need any help with those?

Are you certain? That's an awful lot for a lady to carry.

[It doesn't occur to him how sexist that might sound; he's only trying to be polite.]

I'm sorry, I ought to ask your name first!

[Someone else is feeling just as lost. Everyone was talking about "swimsuits" on the magical little box, so Aurora decided that she needed to get one for herself too, if she would be coming along on this adventure. She was only 7 centuries off herself, wandering around in a great blue dress.

She feels a little shy on her own with all these strange people, but she recognizes Jules from when she first arrived (and remembers he was very polite) and lifts a hand to wave at him. Though he's a guy so maybe it's a bit bold of her, but...this is an emergency]

[She half had his attention already; it's hard to miss someone dressed like that. When she waves him down, he bows to her, of course.]

Princess, it's a pleasure to meet you in person.

[She smiles and curtsies a little bit. Not used to the whole...don't bow your head to people lower than you thing.]

Oh, likewise. Are you going shopping for that trip? I'd really love to go, but I don't think I can wear this.

[ she doesn't even know what century he's from. Clearly not the 14th...so he must know a little more than she. ]

With all due respect, I'm surprised you've managed to wear something so intricate in this heat at all. Most of the other girls are wearing... breezier outfits.

[Rise had come to the same conclusions at Jules had. There had never been a reason to buy a bathing suit or any sort of beach wear before. With the exception of three or four missions, most of which hadn't been too far from here. She hadn't had much opportunity to leave the city, what with having to manage Northern Lights. She finally had two managers now, so she figured closing it for the day wouldn't be too bad. It would be easy to catch up on all that was needed to keep it afloat.]

[She was looking through some suits when she caught sight of Jules--Nanako's new partner. She dropped what she was doing and went over to him, smiling]

[He felt a sense of relief when he saw Rise; surely she knew a thing or two about shopping, and her sense of style wasn't, as far as he could tell, as blatantly sexual as some of the women here.]

This is the perfect day for shopping, it seems. Are you getting ready for the cruise as well?

[She nodded] Sure am! Except for one mission I haven't really been outside of the United States so there was never much need to buy any beachwear. Are you excited for the trip?

I am! I've never had a vacation quite like this one, but it seems like it will be a very pleasant one.
