Rating: G for now
Time: October 5th, afternoon
Description: With the cruise happening tomorrow, Jules finally has to suck it up and buy the appropriate clothing. Since his fashion sense is a century off, this can't end well.
For a few months now, Jules had been quite content to simply dress in whatever felt the most natural for him. Dress pants and button-up shirts weren't the most pleasant thing to wear in such a hot city, but it was altogether much easier to buy more of what he was used to than try to adapt to Death City's fashions. Most of them looked hideous or revealed far too much skin, anyway, and he would have none of that.
But when word of the cruise came about, he realized that he couldn't put things off any longer. One needed a swimsuit to swim, after all, and while he was at it he ought to buy a few new articles of clothing. Perhaps. And with that resolve in mind, he made his way to the mall as soon as work was over for the day. (Why was a cruise scheduled on a Tuesday?)
Wanting to buy something was very different from actually knowing what to buy, though, and so Jules spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around the mall, trying to figure that out. He only wanted to ask anybody for help as a last resort -- heaven forbid they think he didn't know how to dress himself -- so he stuck to quietly looking around. If he searched hard enough, maybe he'd be able to track down something a bit less revealing than the swimsuits he had found so far.
