[Notice her he does, although the books interest him more than the swimsuit. Because he loves books, for one thing, and because seeing anybody carrying that many around is rare. And like the gentleman he is, he can't help but wonder if she's carrying more than he can handle.]

I can see that you do. [He's never met someone who is so freaking happy about reading, it's kind of adorable.] I completely agree, of course. A shame that many of the people in this age have taken to other forms of entertainment.

A lack of education, most likely. There's a much stricter education system in place in my home, and many more of us enjoy reading.

Many, although we students don't often have chances to visit those outside of the school. But of course there are plenty of books there as well!

If you enjoy reading so much, I'm sure you know all about it; it seems to be part of this world's history, more or less. I'm French, from 1881.
