Spent the day barefoot, knee-deep in the clean, clear waters of Assateague. Found baby green crabs, Maryland blue crabs, a baby horseshoe crab, and a baby turtle. Learned a lesson about pulling sea snails out of the ocean, saw my first ever sea cucumber, and ignored people asking if I wanted sunscreen ( Read more... )

 Since Friday night, I've been hanging out with Mom and Terry, who drove up from Tennessee for Easter.

 I spent Monday, Tuesday, and this morning on a beautiful, beautiful island in the southern Chesapeake Bay called Smith Island. It was an Environmental Science trip, and 18 of us went, including our teacher.
