Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. (In the immortal words of Ass Dan, "you know I'm going to live forever!" All joking aside, I am not as confident of my immortality.)

So at least I've had one good year, even if it all goes pear-shaped in 2012. (I don't know why we use "pear-shaped" to refer to things getting fucked up, anyway. I love pears.)

1.) We're having computer trouble. The computer refused to turn back on after being unplugged on 31 December. (How ominous.) It was in the shop for a week, I picked it up on Monday, and it still refuses to turn back on despite claims that it worked just fine in the shop. Last night, X-chan drove up from Tennessee. I saw her pull into the driveway, so opened the door to let her in; she was carrying a Tupperware baking pan. The light wasn't too good, so she handed me the baking pan, and I made a joke about getting Tupperware for Christmas.

It has snowed, and IN-62 is poorly plowed off.
