Mardi Gras is in less than two weeks, woohoo! I have to remember to keep up with Parade Cam this year at MardiGras.com. For this year's Mardi Gras, I am planning to make King Cake cinnamon rolls and gumbo. Next year, I want to step it up and make a real King Cake, which I' ( Read more... ) -

I forgot to mention in my last post that not 30 minutes after I got back home from Las Vegas, the power went out for over 4 hours! So that was a fun thing to return to as the sun went down. I documented my Vegas trip on my IG. It was oodles of fun, eating my way along the Strip. 'Twas the night before last, and I couldn't go to sleep, so I succumbed to the whim of creating an Instagram. I don't expect to be very active myself, and so far it only has my mushroom pic, a lizard on my back patio rug, and pics of a few lunches and dinners. Really boring. The holidays were difficult, and we are all still making adjustments without my father. There are so many times I wish I could ask his opinion on things, and I can't. My rotating header still isn't showing up on DW, but has no problems at LJ, for some reason. So, I temporarily replaced the rotating header on DW with one of the headers in the rotation. In the future, if I remember to, I will switch it out periodically to one of the others ( Read more... )
