the annual ACG NSW Picnic is in the last Saturday in November, and I'm not sure what I'm going to wear.  I think my lobster steampunk deserves an outing!  I'm planning to make a skirt to go with it too, but surely that won't take too much effort.

The trews are ready to be hemmed, oh and yes for once I'd like to not  be using a safety pin as fastener.  They came together really quickly, and I can't wait to start wearing them.  I'll have finished them within a week of buying the fabric, and that's a wee bit scary.

I've hankered for the 1830s for a while now, and have some lovely floral stripey fabric for a summer day dress.  That plan is still on hold, and slightly pushed to one side as soon as I saw this brown silk dress on the Danish National Museum website *complete with pattern*.  I am smitten with it, though not the colour itself.   I also love the look ( Read more... )
