Next month a new exhibition from the Victoria & Albert Museum opens at the Bendigo Art Gallery in Victoria which I'm really looking forward to. The Museum of Sydney currently has an exhibition called Celestial City: Sydney's Chinese Story, about the Chinese who migrated here starting in the 19th century and the difficulties that the White Australia policy had on them. the picnic in Parramatta park is going ahead despite the somewhat soggy ground underfoot, as it's linking into 1810 celebrations of Governor Macquarie that will be happening.

My dithering over what to wear to the ACG ball at the end of August has ended.

Triggered by last_chael 's tales of fabric shopping in Brisbane earlier this week.  Tartan taffeta, white background with red & green.  I haven't seen pics of it cos my latest mobile phone is a  bit retro. IE it doesn't do pics or have a camera.  but I decided near enough was ( Read more... )

I didn't get my new bib front dress finished, nor were my stays properly done either. But I got to give my green muslin dress an outing, which it liked.  It does make a difference having stays instead of modern underwear.  yayy for getting mine finished enough to be wearable.
