I've been meaning to list the medieval fairs, sci fi , anime, pop culture annual - or at least repeat - events cos it's so easly to lose track of what there is.  (edited to add that I've dated this post to 2014 2012, and if the mayans are right we won't need to know in 2013).

ooh, I'd love to buy some of this to make my working class regency short gown.  It's a light weight wool from FFC, and not on sale.  Plus international fee and postage and yes, I'll be smarter to avoid getting it.  Though if it's still around next time they have a sale and I have cashy money then all bets are off.

Okely dokely,  I am going to have structure an effective sewing plan.  Oh, and this plan is for costumes, I also need to make time to sew real life clothings.

Evening gown:
~ I'll go for the black net dress, thank you V&A
   - diadem tiara for my head. I'm going to do a floral encrustation, so I'll need to pick the underdress colour & match that. or find a purple flower that will work regardless of pale purple or dark purple ( Read more... )

2)  Past Patterns 38 - stay from the Connecticut Historical Society

3)  Daffodown Dilly wrap around stays - one without boning, one adding boning (1820s from memory)

4)  circa 1800 stays from the Ohio Historical Society - bonus is the free pattern

I want to get my dungeon store room transformed from being the victim of too many 'dump n run" and back into a work room.  I'd just dumped stuff down there when upstairs needed de-cluttering.
