today I went to Spotlight to get thread for my cloak, cap & stays. I also wanted to see if there was something suitable to cover my bonnet in, I figured out 50 or 60cm of fabric should just about do it in the style I'm thinking of.

I'm trying to make 2009 a positive year, and one of the things I've realised recently is that I need a proper sewing table.  I've been using the one that my broken 1970s Singer is built into. First up I want to finish my underpinnings list - 3 out of 9 are partly made.

Then it will be easier to make historical costumes - like my Mrs Miggins. gahh can't find fabric, that ebay store didn't have the 6 metres I'll need of the tartan.
