realisation that I need a better sewing table

I'm trying to make 2009 a positive year, and one of the things I've realised recently is that I need a proper sewing table. I've been using the one that my broken 1970s Singer is built into. And I can't sit properly while I sew as my legs won't fit in the titchy space provided. They didn't even when I wasn't lardy, so it's time to get a proper ( Read more... )

awesome idea. I like that it has the wheels!
and quality is better than quantity/cheapness sometimes. get what you want that suits you best and you won't have to buy another desk in a few years time.

I love the wheels! There was a desk return that was almost the same size, but it doesn't have wheels. Easy moving of the desk is important too.

I'm all for spending money on the right tool for the job ... it's easier, more efficient, less likely to cause an injury and cheaper than buying more than one of the not-right tool.

WOooHoo!! That's fantastic news! It's always great when you find that perfect item that you were looking for! And it's definitely better to spend more money on something that's perfect, than less money on something that is going to annoy you! Hooray for Wheels!

You could always ask if they could hold it for you, or they might be able to get one in from another store.

ohh, I should ask if they can hold one. I'm going to spotlight on thursday to see if they have a drill for the corset that goes with the wa-loli fabric. Officeworks are in the next block.
