Team 1 - McDonald's Cycle Center (Linkara, Knives, Shard) notthatjason May 14 2011, 02:53:06 UTC
Your team enters the park via the McDonald's Cycle Center which looks eerie with all it's bikes and no people to come in and out of it.

You can expect an attack of three to five Blampires which seem to be relatively new to the whole Black Court thing. They might use some of the bikes to try to kill you though, so watch out for that.

Okay. Shard still wasn't used to the sound effects actually showing up round Knives. But there were worse things that being placed on a team with her.

She had a couple of guns on her and the holy water, but Shard was planning to stick with her hands and blasts to deal with things. Her main concession to what they were facing was the new pendant at her throat, which either of them might recognize as the X-Men's symbol.

It was as close to a object of faith as she got. "Nice to see you too, Knives."

Magic gun? Check. Morpher, along with the hopes that it would actually work this time? Check. Holy water, garlic powder, and other vampire-slaying implements? Check and double-check. Shirt with a Superman logo on it? Definitely check. It made him feel like Angry Joe, sure, but he couldn't think of anything he had more faith in than truth, justice, and the American way, and what was a better symbol of that than Superman? Plus, it meant his shirt might kill vampires, and that was always a plus.

"Hey, Knives, Shard," he nodded in greeting. He hadn't seen either of them for a while, sure, but it was good to fight alongside two people he was pretty sure could cover his back. "You guys ready?"

Team 2 - Wrigley Square (Jason Grace, Harry Potter, Roxas) notthatjason May 14 2011, 02:57:28 UTC
This team enters through Wrigley Square which is very open but the nearby Greek-style structure can provide excellent hiding for any vampires.

Strangely, however, the park is not empty and you may find some humans camping out there. Don't let your guard down though as these are just thralled human slaves to the Blampires and they WILL attack once the group tries to get past the park. There is also a small group of Blampires nearby, about 3-5 who WILL use the humans as shields or distractions.

Roxas stopped at a spot that he hoped was far enough outside the square to avoid notice by anything hanging around inside and waited for his companions. It wouldn't be good if he went in before anyone arrived and got himself killed.

He had his Keyblade out already. Better to be ready and with his power weakened here it simply took too long to summon it. And magic... he was trying to decide if he should reserve it for healing or go ahead and toast the vampires. It was occurring to him a bit late that maybe he should have asked about his team mates' abilities...

Jason had grabbed the ax he had obtained from his quest a few months back, he had been practicing with it in his spare time. He had a hint of a memory that he had trained with an ax before, but he would still feel better with a sword. It's magic properties gave him some comfort, however, and he felt as though it would come in handy. He carried other weapons as well, mostly of the 'vampire killing' variety in a backpack ( ... )

Harry arrived a moment or two after them, wand in hand. "Sorry." He apologized, "Forgot to watch the time."

He flicked his wand hand, showing his bare wrist and put out the barely there ball of light coming from the tip. "Whenever you're ready, let's go."

Team 3 - Harris Theater (Fleur, Aqua, Vin) notthatjason May 14 2011, 03:01:54 UTC
Approaching the park from the North your team is going through the Harris Theater, the structure is partly underground and allows for a lot of exploration and also lets out into the Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

Your trek through is mostly quiet up until the end where a group of 6-9 Blampires ambush you from behind. One or two may even be spell casters and all of them will use the shadows in the theater to their advantage.

Aqua wasn't entirely sure to make of this whole affair, but she agreed with Terra on one point. The vampires couldn't be allowed to stay any longer. Not when there was only going to be more people arriving; people who wouldn't necessarily know what to do with this kind of threat. Of course, that didn't mean it was any less bizarre, but no matter. There were people's lives at stake here.

And as far as she was concerned that was the most important thing. Even if she didn't quite know if she would be able to handle what she'd need to.

Vin hung back from the rest of her group, trying to banish that odd feeling of weariness that had been plaguing her for days. Even burning pewter hadn't seemed to do anything to ward it off, which was more than a little concerning. Still, it was far too late to back out now. The vampires had taken over the entry point of the city and, judging by the network, had gotten at least one new arrival already. She couldn't just sit back and let that happen again.

She shook her head and flared tin briefly to clear her senses and studied the building. Walking in the front door was probably about the worst idea they could come up with, there had to be a better way in.

Fleur was gung-ho about this mission. Vampires were at least a little more familiar than the shadow creature she had dealt with not long ago... Still, vampires were a nuisance and she wouldn't let an infestation of them pose a threat on the rest of the population. Muggles, non-wizards and wizards alike would be threatened by the creatures...

She paused midstep and cocked her head at the theatre. "Zere must be a stage door we can go through, oui?" she murmured to the other girls.

Team 4 - Crown Fountain (Eraqus, Sam, John Ross notthatjason May 14 2011, 03:06:03 UTC
The Crown Fountain can be rather creepy at night, especially with the video screens on the fountain both turned on. However, the vampires are being a little evil tonight and have somehow gotten the images changed to where it shows images of people screaming in horror or agony.

While there are 6-9 Blampires to worry about, your main concern might be the thralled humans lurking atop the towers who are hiding and prepared to snipe at anyone that comes close with guns or possibly even throw explosives. You also have to deal with one or two of the Blampires being magic users.

While Terra did not always exercise his best judgment, he was correct in that they needed to protect any newcomers from the mass of vampires now surrounding the entrance point. It would be difficult, but a worthwhile endeavor if it was successful. He came as prepared as he could...with the Keyblade already out, and ready to summon armor and glider if necessary.

And while he did come as prepared as he could, he wasn't prepared for the horrified faces displayed on the already-unsettling fountains. He did his best to just not look at them and focus on the park ahead, but it wasn't easy, with them being one of the only light sources. What an awful perversion of light.

He waited for the other two to join him before venturing forth.

Sam had come loaded for bear. Or, rather, loaded for vampires. He'd forgone his normal pistol for a sawed-off shotgun, with extra shells hidden around his person. A knife was strapped to his leg and he had a rosary wrapped around one wrist. It was the most useful place to keep it.

There was also a flask of holy water in his back pocket. Nobody needed to know that was there yet.

Stopping, he looked around. "Looks like this could be a fun place. Normally."

Compared to Sam and Eraqus John probably looked woefully unprepared. He came only in his greatcoat and carried his staff as his only visible weapon. Under the coat, however, were two flasks of holy water in case things got too up close for his magic to be useful. He didn't carry a crucifix though, as far as symbols of faith were concerned his staff would serve just fine.

He glanced at the towers, scowling at the tormented faces on them but didn't focus on them. They were only images and he'd seen worse in his lifetime after all.

"Nice distraction." He said, nodding to the twisted faces on the lights. A faint white light already shone from the runes on his staff as he began to draw upon his magic. "Or maybe they just think it's funny."

Team 5 - BP Bridge (Alice, Terra, Sora) notthatjason May 14 2011, 03:09:54 UTC
The BP Bridge is one entrance into the park that spans a road and is very winding making it difficult to see what might be lurking around the bends.

Your team can expect up to 7-10 Blampires along the way and some of them think it's funny to chunk cars at you from the road while others will climb up the sides of the bridge to attack. At the end of the bridge going into the park are two guard dogs that have been given vampire powers.

There were a lot of things wrong with this city, and the sudden increase of vampires (Sora still wasn't quite sure how a person actually could tell the difference between one kind and other) didn't make it any better. Especially so close to the Bean. Having someone show up here and immediately be attacked - that had to be the worst kind of situation for someone not used to it. Sora at least was used to possibly getting jumped by Heartless and Nobodies when he arrived on a world, and he knew how to fight those ( ... )

Terra spied Sora standing at the entrance to the bridge. He had studied the bridge on a map and had not liked the way it twisted and curved, it would make it difficult to see head. He had thought about taking his glider across but that would leave the others without his aid or his keyblade.

And since he had found out Alice was to be on their team he did not want to take any chances.

He made sure his bag was safely secured, it carried the vampire slaying supplies in case his keyblade gave out. He had tried to say he didn't need it but Jason had insisted and Jason was the one coordinating everything. He looked Ven's age and yet Terra could see that he was very battle worn and experienced.

"Hello Sora. You ready?" He asked as he approached, eyes already glancing towards the winding bridge that was unsurprisingly poorly lit. The vampires were going to take every advantage they could.

Alice quietly and gracefully strode up to the two young men, a bright smile slightly dampened by the darkness in her eyes. It was getting harder to maintain her vegetarian lifestyle as the storm seemed to send all ghostly wildlife scurring to places she couldn't follow - but she couldn't let anyone know. Or rather, she was so used to not saying anything, even with everyone's casual acceptance, she couldn't bring herself to reveal the truth.

She winked at both Terra and Sora, knowing that both of them were probably having reservations about having a "normal" person along. But she supposed that she may have been the best person to have along, what with her knowledge from Jasper of how to fight. "Ready for this, boys?" she chirped.
