My computer, Thor, arrived at my local post office yesterday (the day after my five-day vacation, tee hee). I shipped him out on December 27th, and he came back on February 19th, meaning it took just 61 days to get his power supply swapped out. Thrilling Computer Updates
I checked my US Postal Service tracking number again today, and got the same message I've been getting for the last 12 days ("...notified by the shipper on February 01, 2013 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date..."). I called USPS and demanded to know where the hell my computer ( Read more... ) -

My UberComputer continues to be lost somewhere in the US Postal System. I contacted customer support today, and they had one of those exceptionally annoying/frustrating "Just say what your problem is and the computer will take care of it" systems, which eventually devolved into me simply repeating "I want to talk to a human" over and over again ( Read more... ) -

According to the guys who repaired my computer, they sent it back to me on January 29th. On Friday, February 1st, they gave me a tracking number for the US Postal Service.
Every day when I supply the USPS website with my tracking number, I get this:

Where I'm At
O HAPPY DAY: This morning when I got up I got to remove the freakin' monitor (which was securely taped to my chest hair ow ow ow ow) and have THE BEST SHOWER OF MY LIFE. It was awesome and long and exfoliating and shavey.

Testy
I spent the first half of the day getting various tests done. Most of what I did was waiting. I got outfitted with an IV tube, and people would come by from time to time and inject things into me. More Damned Tests
I saw the cardiologist today. He told me nothing that I didn't already know; that my heart muscle has thickened, and is not pushing blood out as well as it should. He said he didn't know exactly how serious it was just yet... so more tests ( Read more... )
