O HAPPY DAY: This morning when I got up I got to remove the freakin' monitor (which was securely taped to my chest hair ow ow ow ow) and have THE BEST SHOWER OF MY LIFE. It was awesome and long and exfoliating and shavey.

Max Update: Max had another trip to the vet last week to check his thyroid level. It's much better —donw from 146 to 85— but still high above the target mark of 45. So now he gets pills twice a day, and another trip to the vet in a month to re-check his thyroid level. Poor Maxxie. Now he's taken to avoiding me in the morning, and I just hate that ( Read more... )

The last week was a fairly active one for me. It started off awesomely enough, with my boss going off on vacation on Tuesday (the first one he's taken since 2004). W00t! Because of this, I was able to schedule both Thursday and Sunday off, and Raquel booked a flight to come and spend time with me over the weekend ( Read more... )

KFC is testing a new sandwich in select American test markets called the Double Down. The sandwich "features a dollop of the Colonel's secret sauce wrapped in a slice of both Pepperjack Cheese and Swiss Cheese, between two slices of bacon and two filets of KFC original recipe chicken that serve as the 'bread' of the burger."
